Pretty Room Inspiration

As I mentioned in a blog post not too long ago, I moved house recently. After years of living in tiny apartments, Jonny and I now finally have a beautiful house which we can call our own with a little garden in the loveliest town. Now that we have settled in, I have been browsing various home-ware sites, adding lots of things to my wishlist, and of course, gaining inspiration and pinning copious amounts of stunning home decor images on pinterest. I LOVE decorating and filling my space with pretty home accessories! I like the fairly minimal look; a canvas of neutral tones with added splashes of colour and life in the form of gold or pink accessories and luscious green plants.

I have wanted a dressing table for so long and I'm so excited to get one now that I have the space for it. I imagine this to be a relaxing little space to put my makeup on in the mornings. My dressing table will be adorned with a cute little vase with a pretty pink flowers, white pots filled with makeup brushes and lipsticks and a floral scented candle will be burning, making the room smell like a field of roses.

Another thing I'm excited to have is my own office/desk area. I'd like a crisp white desk with either a grey or pink cosy chair that I can sit at to write my blog posts and also to do crafty things for my Etsy shop. A photo wall is needed above my desk where I can hang up inspirational quotes, beautiful paintings and brightly coloured prints. Perhaps a hanging plant would look cute on the wall too. A pink sofa would be lovely, however I don't think that will fit in my room with all of my other furniture too, so I'm going to have to save that for when we get an even bigger place! I would really like a bar cart too (this will probably go in our living room) where I can display pretty glasses, cocktail making accessories and a selection of flavourful liqueurs and mixers.

Where's your favourite place to buy home-ware? Do you have a colour scheme?
